Jay Chandrasekhar, from comedy group Broken Lizard, and the director of Super Troopers and Beerfest, is planning on directing yet another comedy titled “Shotgun Wedding”, a script which he co-wrote with David Gilcreast. “Shotgun Wedding’s” basic plot revolves around a bachelor’s weekend trip with his buddies right before his wedding (wow, lots of films tailing the success of “The Hangover”). However, “Shotgun Wedding” is planned to start shooting in New Orleans (Mardi Gras themed, please?) and Broken Lizard Members such as Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske are likely to join the cast.

Broken Lizard is also releasing a movie titled “The Slammin Salmon” (think Waiting… except better) later this year, and are deep in production for their other comedy Freeloaders. Shotgun Wedding begins shooting this November.
